Fel Zharost

Fel Zharost was Chief Librarian of the Night Lords until Curze's madness and the Edict of Nikaea made that office a death sentence. He would not follow his primarch into the Heresy. Malcador picked him up anyway, because a Nostraman who had already refused the Eighth was the kind of knife the Sigillite preferred to find in the dark.

Zharost took grey and went after the brothers who had kept their gifts for Chaos. The Knights-Errant offered him a war that was not Curze's theatre. He took it. Night Lords who still wore the lightning hated him for leaving; the ones who had become sorcerers hated him for coming back with a warrant.

Nostramo taught him that justice is a story criminals tell. The Sigillite taught him it can also be a list of names. Zharost is on the list of men who might have become a Grey Knight. The Night Lords remember him as the librarian who walked away first.
