Saint Arabella was one of the six founding Matriarchs of the Sisterhood and the figure in whose name the Order of the Sacred Rose was raised. She is regarded as the most faithful of the six, having treated the revelation in the Throne room as a lifelong instruction rather than a single event.
She left Vandire’s palace in company with Dominica and spent the remainder of her life in quiet observance of that conviction. She then disappeared. The Sisterhood nevertheless raised the Order of the Sacred Rose in her name, preserving her memory within its institutions.
She is counted as dead. The Order’s colours, white and red, are associated with the teaching she did not remain to complete. The Order sets a place for her and marches as though she might yet take her position on its right.
