Saint Arabella

Saint Arabella was the most faithful of the six Matriarchs, the companion who treated the Throne-room revelation as a lifelong instruction rather than a single shock. She walked out of Vandire's palace with Dominica and spent the rest of her years making conviction look quiet.

She disappeared. The Order of the Sacred Rose was raised in her name anyway, which is the Sisterhood's way of refusing to let a missing saint go to waste. White and red still mean the lesson she did not stay to finish.

Founding Matriarch. Dead, by the ledger. The Rose keeps a place setting, and marches as if she might yet fall in on the right.
