Menoetius

Menoetius was an Iron Hands legionary who fought from the Predator Cretatogran, a Medusan tanker who crawled away from Isstvan V's black sand and into the dust of Tallarn as if a box of guns could still be a brotherhood. The Shattered Legions used whatever still had a motive unit.

At the Khendive the storm ate the machine. Cretatogran went into Tallarn's dust and did not come out, a Predator killed by weather because the IV Legion had already killed the planet's luck. Menoetius died with his tank, which is how Iron Hands prefer the paperwork.

Medusa lists engines more carefully than it lists men. The Cretatogran is the name that survived. The crew is a casualty line in a desert that specialised in those, and the Tenth does not pretend otherwise.
