Menoetius

Menoetius was an Iron Hands legionary who fought from the Predator Cretatogran and died with it on Tallarn. A Medusan tank crewman, he served in a Predator, a tracked armoured fighting vehicle, that survived the fighting on Isstvan V’s black sand and continued in service on Tallarn.

After Isstvan V, the Cretatogran moved into the dust of Tallarn. The Shattered Legions employed any vehicle that retained a working motive unit, and the Cretatogran was among those kept in the field. At the Khendive, a storm destroyed the machine. The Cretatogran was lost in Tallarn’s dust and did not emerge, and Menoetius died with it.

The Iron Hands’ records of Medusa list vehicles in greater detail than the men who crewed them, and the name Cretatogran is the element of this account that has survived. The tank’s crew is recorded only as a casualty line among the many the Tallarn campaign produced, and the Tenth Legion makes no attempt to present it otherwise.
