Shadrak Meduson of Clan Sorrgol tried to weld the Shattered Legions into one hunt after Isstvan V ate the Iron Hands' command. Ferrus was gone. Medusa still needed a warleader who could make Salamanders, Ravens, and Medusans point at the same traitor. He hurt the Sons of Horus badly enough that Tybalt Marr made killing him a project.
Guerilla war was the whole doctrine: strike, vanish, strike again, refuse the big battle Perturabo would have wanted. It worked until it did not. Marr caught him in the Aragna Chain and ended the one Iron Tenth officer the survivors had actually followed.
The Legion splintered into clans again. Meduson's idea outlived him in every later raid that pretended the Tenth still had a single fist.
