Soltarn Vull Bronn
Warsmith of the 45th Grand Battalion, The Stonewrought
Also known as The Stonewrought
Homeworld: Olympia
Soltarn Vull Bronn, called the Stonewrought, was Warsmith of the Iron Warriors’ 45th Grand Battalion and an Olympian. He was noted for his assessment of rock and terrain, which he applied to the reduction of fortified positions.
Bronn’s campaigns included Hydra Cordatus, Iydris, Krade, Pluto and the Lion’s Gate, where the ground of Terra itself became a geological problem. During the Horus Heresy he served Perturabo as a geological adviser in the field, identifying for the IV Legion (the Iron Warriors) which stone would yield to assault. At the close of that conflict he was still the officer assigned against fortresses.
Bronn’s status is recorded as missing. Honsou found traces of his presence on Calth in M41, the forty-first millennium, but the circumstances of his later fate are unknown, and he may have died in an unnamed siege. His name continues to be cited in Iron Warriors accounts, including those told to younger Warsmiths, and it remains associated with the Legion’s practice of siegecraft.
