Soltarn Vull Bronn, the Stonewrought, was Warsmith of the Iron Warriors 45th Grand Battalion, an Olympian who read rock the way other men read scripture. Hydra Cordatus was his kind of war. So were Iydris, Krade, Pluto, and the Lion's Gate when Terra itself became a geology problem.
He spent the Heresy as Perturabo's geologist with a gun, telling the IV Legion which stone would kneel. At the end he was still the man you sent at a fortress. Honsou found his shadow on Calth in M41, which is a long time for a Warsmith to remain useful.
Missing is a generous word for a traitor who keeps being cited. Bronn may have died in some unnamed siege. The stone did not forget him. The Iron Warriors rarely let a good geologist stay dead in the stories they tell younger Warsmiths.
