Malum Caedo is a Sternguard Veteran of the Ultramarines First who walked out of a crashed drop pod on Graia as the only survivor of his squad and then treated a Chaos invasion as a corridor problem. Inquisitor Seibel had wanted a squad. The planet got one Marine and a servo-skull.
Rogue tech-priests had restarted Drogan's power source. Tumulus Samael wanted a daemon world. Caedo killed his way from cultists to the sorcerer and shut the rift before Graia could become a second wound in the sector. The Inquisition kept watching the forge world. Caedo went back to being Sternguard.
Macragge does not advertise one-man wars. Graia remembers this one anyway. The name means I kill evil. On that drop, it was a job description.
