Severus Agemman is First Captain of the Ultramarines and Tetrarch of Ultramar, the man who holds the Victrix Guard and the 1st Company while Calgar holds the Chapter. Macragge raised him for a throne he is not supposed to want, which has not stopped anyone from measuring him against it.
He is the political blade to Calgar's public one, a captain who can run a realm and a company without confusing the two. Guilliman's return did not retire him. It gave the Tetrarchy more work.
Agemman does not need to be Chapter Master. He needs Ultramar to survive the century. The rest is gossip the 1st Company does not have time for.
