Severus Agemman

Severus Agemman is First Captain of the Ultramarines and Tetrarch of Ultramar, commanding the Victrix Guard and the 1st Company. Calgar commands the Chapter as a whole, while Agemman commands its senior company and the guard attached to it.

Agemman was raised on Macragge and is regarded as a possible successor to the office of Chapter Master, although he is not described as seeking it. His role is chiefly political and administrative, complementing Calgar’s more public one. He governs a realm and leads a company without allowing either duty to displace the other. The return of Roboute Guilliman did not end his position: the Tetrarchy’s workload increased as a result.

Agemman’s standing rests on the reliability of his administration rather than on any claim to higher rank. His stated concern is the survival of Ultramar through the current century. Speculation about the succession has not altered the demands on the 1st Company, which continues to serve under his command.
