Ignace Karkasy
Remembrancer poet of the 63rd Expedition
Also known as Karkasy
Homeworld: Terra
Ignace Karkasy was a remembrancer poet embedded with the Luna Wolves, drunk, loud, and constitutionally unable to stop writing what he saw. His verses offended the wrong officers on the Vengeful Spirit. Maggard murdered him for it, which is the Crusade's idea of literary criticism when the iterators have lost the room.
He had already watched Samus wear Jubal and decided poetry was not optional. Sindermann tried to keep him useful. Loken tried to keep him alive. The ship tried to keep him quiet. Only one of those projects finished.
Karkasy's poems are the last unofficial minutes of a Legion that was about to rename itself. Terra sent him to make the Crusade sound like civilisation. He made it sound like a warning. The Half-heard got Keeler and Oliton off the ship. The poet did not make the boarding list.
