Tanau Aleya is a Knight-Centura of the Sisters of Silence, the null who walked back into history when the Palace needed hunters who do not show up on the warp. She is Valerian's counterpart in Chris Wraight's Watchers books: fewer words, worse news, same war.

The Great Rift made the Silent Sisterhood a necessity again instead of a rumour. Aleya has used that to cut through cults, sorcerers, and the political fiction that Terra was safe because the Ten Thousand were pretty. She does not argue theology. She arrives, and psykers stop working.
