Maldovar Colquan

Maldovar Colquan is a figure of the Imperium of Man associated with the Adeptus Custodes and Terra in the era of the Indomitus Crusade. He is recorded in connection with the Emperor’s personal guard, whose duties centre on the Imperial Palace, and his setting is the Imperium of the forty-first millennium rather than the Great Crusade or the Horus Heresy.

The surviving record of his career is sparse, and this entry states only what is attested. Accounts do not settle his exact rank within the Custodes, his origins, or the campaigns in which he served, and later tradition should not be taken to fill those gaps. His principal relationships are those of the Custodian order as a whole: the Emperor, whom the Custodes guard, and the Captain-General and Council under whom the order acts. For map and timeline use, he binds Terra to the period of the Indomitus Crusade, when the Imperium was divided by the Great Rift and the Custodes played a more visible part beyond the Palace than in earlier millennia. His contemporaries are therefore the wider Custodian leadership and the commanders of the Crusade, including Roboute Guilliman, although no direct meeting between them is recorded.
