Telemachon Lyras was a Terran Palatine Blade, captain of the Emperor's Children 51st, and later the swordsman Abaddon kept close enough to regret. He stood in Eidolon's honour guard at Ullanor, then spent the Eye as second to a warband that picked a fight with Khayon, Kibre, and Lheorvine Ukris.
Khayon broke him, remade him, and watched him defect. At Harmony he helped kill a cloned Warmaster. Abaddon paid him in shards of Sanguinius's blade, which Telemachon forged into a mask of the face he used to have. The Shrieking Masquerade is his raptor host. Nefertari is the obsession he did not bother to hide.
He fought the Seventh Black Crusade on Mackan beside the same brothers who had once caged him. The smile under the mask is not a reliable narrator.
